In a bid to fulfill the democratic purpose of the hall, popular sovereignty took the floor as members of Obafemi Awolowo Hall elected new leaders for both Executive Council and Legislative Council.
The election started in the early hours of Tuesday morning and took place virtually. Election officials sent accredited voters emails containing the necessary voting information. Provisions were made for unaccredited voters to be accredited physically on election day. The election ended at 4pm and results were sent to the online platforms of the hall by members of the electoral committee. The following candidates were elected:
PRESIDENT: Akinlawon Goodluck
VICE PRESIDENT: Ajewole Faith Anuoluwa
SOCIAL AND WELFARE MINISTER: Oyebade Deborah Oyindamolala
INFORMATION AND PUBLICITY MINISTER: Fajolu Jennifer (The voice)
