The University of Ibadan has announced the official dates for the closing of the student registration portal for the 2024/2025 academic session, warning that late registration will attract a penalty fee.
This was disclosed in an internal memorandum signed by the Senior Deputy Registrar (SAAI), Mrs. Stella O. Soola. The memo followed a Senate decision taken at its meeting held on April 28, 2025.
According to the memo, the Senate approved that the portal for fresh students would be open from February 17 to June 6, 2025, while returning students would be allowed to register between April 14 and June 6, 2025. However, a late registration window will run from June 9 to June 27, 2025.
“Late Registration attracts a fee of ₦20,000.00,” the memo stated.
Furthermore, The University management also encouraged students facing financial hardship to seek assistance through the federal government’s education loan scheme.
“The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) pleaded with the Deans to encourage indigent students to apply for NELFUND and ensure that students register on time,” the memo reads.
