The University of Ibadan Students’ Union ( UI’SU) has announced a two-week extension for the payment of school fees and course registration, shifting the deadline from June 6 to June 20, 2025.
According to the memorandum released by the Union, the extension was secured through engagements with the university management in response to concerns over the June 6 deadline and fee discrepancies in some faculties. “We have secured a two- week extension. As against the initial June 6 deadline, the new deadline for payments of fees and course registration will now be June 20, 2025.” the Union stated. “We believe that this extension will allow our students to pay their fees”
The Union also confirmed the commencement of refunds for affected students from the previous academic session and the reversal of studio fees previously charged to 300L, 400L, and 500L students in the Faculty of Technology and students in Science & Technology Education under the Faculty of Education.
Additionally, students who applied for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) are advised to begin checking their wallets. “We have secured the commitment of NELFUND and the University management for the imminent disbursement of funds,” the Union said.
It also emphasized that there has been no increase in school fees for the current academic session. Students were urged to complete their course registration to ensure recognition for the session.
