The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has announced a final one-week extension for the payment of school fees and course registration, with a new deadline set for Friday 27 June 2025.

In an official memo released on 23 June 2025, the Union stated “This announcement is made following the three weeks engagement with the Bursary Unit to fast-track the refund process.”

The memo also confirmed that all students who applied for the NELFUND loan have now been credited. “All students that applied for the loan have been credited in their e-wallets,”the Union stated.

Furthermore, the Union warned that only students who complete their fees and course registration by the deadline will be recognised as legitimate students for the session. “Only students who complete payment and course registration will be considered as bona fide students of the session. Any unregistered student will not be allowed to sit for examinations.”

In addition, the Union advised students experiencing difficulties with course selection or online payment to seek support from departmental executives, the ITeMS Office, or the NELFUND Support Centre.

The Union also urged student leaders to take proactive steps in engaging and reaching out. “We call on faculty, department, hall executives to engage and reach out to students, especially through course representatives and communication channels, to identify those who are yet to register and any challenges they may be facing in that regard,” the statement read.
