UIDECIDES’26: Deboye, Glory Salawu And Others Record Victory In The Student Union Election

The Student Union Electoral Commission (SUEC) held the highly anticipated election on Saturday, 13 December 2025, with students casting their votes for the next set of union executives.

Students exercised their franchise as voting commenced at 8am in the morning and ended at 2pm. The results were later released promptly by the SUEC.

Adeboye Temidayo emerged as President-elect with a total of 2943 votes defeating his opponent, Olawoye Emmanuel (Emmy) who recorded a total of 2124 votes.

Glory Salawu emerged vice-president elect with a total of 2893 votes, defeating her opponent, Ojo Adebimpe who recorded a total of 2321 votes.

Shontan Joshua emerged General-secretary elect as he ran unopposed recording a total of 4681 votes. PRO- elect, Emmanuel Olasunkanmi also ran unopposed recording a total of 4788 votes.

Tifase Oluwatimilehin, house-secretary elect recorded a total of 4834 votes as he ran unopposed. Odey John emerged Treasurer-elect as he recorded a total of 2527 votes defeating his opponent, Sobowale Victoria who had a total of 2493 votes.

Siyanbade Adedamola, Sports-secretary elect recorded a total of 4567 votes as he ran unopposed.

Fidelia Eghonghon emerged AGS-elect with a total of 3038 votes defeating her opponent, Adeboye Habeebullah who recorded a total of 2102 votes.
